Governing Board – New Orleans, USA
GO15 is holding its 2019 Governing Board from 30th April to 1st May 2019 in New Orleans, USA. This meeting is hosted by our member MISO.
The primary objective of the meeting is to review the progress and content of the two 2019 Strategic Working Groups (SWGs):
- SWG1 – Pathways to a Low Emission Power System:share case studies of recent or ongoing work efforts to be better prepared for a transition to a low emission and decentralized power system
- SWG2 – Resilience Models: focus on operational resilience methodology, cyber resilience framework and the need of infrastructure development to provide resilience in a highly distributed power grid
This event is also an opportunity to debate around the communication strategy and the international cooperation with the goal of positioning GO15 more and more as a thought leader in the energy transition. The second day focuses on corporate items and the organization of the future meetings, including the 2019 Annual Meeting and the GO15 Forum in St Petersburg, Russia.
On April 29th, three workshops, respectively for SWG1, SWG2 and the Communication Team will be organized. Experts will exchange various case studies face-to-face and fine tune their workplans.
