GO15 TSO/DSO Workshop hosted by CAISO – San Francisco, USA – April 13th Presentations available!
Featured, UncategorizedThe GO15 organization held its TSO/DSO Workshop hosted by California ISO on April 13th, following its first 2016 Governing Board.
This event, building on the success of previous Forums and Workshops organized by GO15, was by invitation only and regroup more than 70 participants from GO15 members as well as various high level representatives of the power sector such as governmental institutions, regulatory bodies, major international organizations, industry experts, major suppliers, TSOs and DSOs.
The overall theme of the workshop was to explore possible visions of the electric grid of the future, as it evolves with the transition to renewable, carbon-free generation sources and high volumes of distribution-connected energy resources. Workshop participants analyzed how the roles of TSOs and DSOs may evolve, compared different country and state strategies for moving toward this future, and identified market and regulatory issues arising in the transition. This workshop addressed three main topics to be debated between the attendees and the speakers of each panel.
