GO15 thanks Dr. Diana Strauss-Mincu, Group Leader at Fraunhofer IEE and Dr. Claudio Lopez, Expert researcher at Fraunhofer IEE for their very interesting presentation during our latest GO15 Webinar on the ‘’Dynamic-Security Assessment – Tools & methods’’ on June 25th.
The presentation highlighted the increasing system complexity resulting from converter-based power generation, necessitating advanced Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA) tools for real-time operational support.
The webinar focused on the German LISA national project (“Online Dynamic Security Assessment for Low Inertia Power Systems”), a three-and-a-half-year initiative with a €4 million budget, bringing together industry partners (PSI Software AG & Avasition GmbH), research institutes (Fraunhofer IEE & IOSB), and two German transmission system operators TenneT & TransnetBW.
The LISA project aligns with a German national roadmap mandating the integration of advanced DSA systems into control centers to assist operators in decision-making.
