Since May 2026, Pasqualino Monti has served as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Terna, Italy’s national electricity transmission system operator.
Prior to joining Terna, Mr. Monti held several senior leadership positions in the transport and infrastructure sectors. He notably served as CEO of ENAV, Italy’s air navigation service provider, and as President of the Port System Authority of the Western Sicily Sea. Previously, he led the Port Authority of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta, initially as President and later as Special Commissioner. He also served as Chair of Assoporti and was a member of the National Commission for the Logistics and Ports Plan.
Throughout his career, he has gained extensive experience in the management and development of complex infrastructure systems.
With more than twenty years of experience in strategic infrastructure and regulated industries, Mr. Monti brings valuable expertise to Terna as it continues to support Italy’s energy transition and the development of its electricity transmission network.
