Over September and October 2025, GO15 members Grid-India and California ISO have conducted a reciprocal Employee Exchange Program to enhance expertise in grid modernization and renewable integration.
Grid-India officials have studied CAISO’s real-time energy management systems (EMS), Dynamic Line Rating (DLR), and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operations, while CAISO explored India’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)/EMS infrastructure, Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS) and Automatic Generation Control (AGC).
Joint discussions also focused on cybersecurity, reliability coordination, and grid flexibility, culminating in a field visit to the 800 kV High-Voltage Direct Current Agra Station. The program solidified collaboration on new technology for reliable grid operation and renewable energy management.
