Korea Power Exchange (KPX) participated in the Korea-EU Partnership Forum for Energy Transition, hosted by Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE), on June 10 in Brussels (Belgium), that brought together MCEE, KPX, KEPCO, Elia, TenneT and ENTSO-E, along with major Korean and global companies including Samsung, HD Hyundai, Siemens and Hitachi Energy.
The forum was attended by MCEE Minister Sungwhan KIM, and KPX was represented by Ki-Youl OK, Executive Director of its Energy System Innovation Department.
At the forum, KPX also expressed its interest in future cooperation with European partners, including demonstration-based research in areas such as renewable energy integration, system flexibility, electricity market operation and digitalized power system operation. KPX and ENTSO-E shared the view that international networks such as GO15 and ENTSO-E play an important role in exchanging knowledge and operational experience.
