American Grid Operators Successfully Navigate Winter Blizzards

During the last two weeks of December, much of the United States endured a massive winter storm over the holidays, straining electrical grids across the country.

Our American members PJM, MISO and CAISO have been able to navigate the storm without significant and long-lasting disruptions in power.

Thanks to significant investments in weather-proofing their grids throughout the year, as well as smart power management and public messaging, American consumers have been able to count on these grid operators to ensure the proper functioning of their respective networks.

Congratulations to our members for weathering the storm, and we look forward to learning from your experience and sharing this information with fellow GO15 members!
