PJM, MISO and other RTOs propose actions to strengthen gas-electric coordination

Two GO15 members, MISO and PJM, alongside two other major U.S. transmission organizations, SPP and ISO—representing 40% of the American population—propose 14 measures to enhance gas-electric coordination, to build on lessons learned from Winter Storm Uri in February 2021.

Emphasizing market improvements and regulatory reforms, the RTOs (Regional Transmission Operators) aim at streamlining natural gas purchase and delivery. Industry stakeholders, including the Natural Gas Supply Association, support these concise initiatives for enhanced coordination and reliability.
