California ISO Board approves transmission plan for the next 10 years

California ISO announced on March 18 that its Board of Governors had approved its 2021-2022 10-Year Transmission Plan. This strategy is aimed at boosting grid resiliency during California’s electrification push and ongoing transition to carbon-free resources.

The plan identifies 23 projects for an estimated cost of $2.9 billion for system expansions, upgrades, and reliability reinforcements and to ensure the state’s clean-energy targets are met efficiently and at a reasonable cost for the next 10 years.
